This string game was handmade by Charles Nganga of Nakuru, Kenya.  While at his home he brought them out.  They were quite popular about 10 years ago and he had a few of them left.  The puzzle can kep you occupied for quite some time. 

The object is to remove the string while the ends are held.  A partner holds the ends of the string, or you can tie them onto a door knob or chair rail.  By working the string around and through, it CAN be removed without using the ends.  It really can.  But it will take you a while to figure it out.

Then after you figure out how to get the string off, you can try to replace it for the next person.
