Item: Maasai Beaded Strap

This Maasai adornment is very versatile. It is 13" long, 1/2" wide with 6 strands of beads directly hand stitched onto a leather strat. The strap is tied with a piece of hand cordage. It is worn as a choker, bracelet, arm, ankle or thigh strap.

These straps are often used to hold a knife, sheath or other slender object close to the body to leave hands free.
