These necklaces are done by the Samburu Asekon Women’s Group with 22 members of women married and single. It started in 2008.  Due to poverty and challenges facing the women in the village, they decided to form a group. 

The beads are woven into a round flexible necklace that measures 18" to the ball/loop clasp.
