This beautiful basket is made of Sisal fiber.  It is a firm basket yet pliable.  The Sisal is harvested and beaten into fibers. The fibers are then twisted by hand into long strands. The natural fiber is then dyed and woven to create beautiful baskets such as this mid-sized 10" X 10" lidded sisal basket.  Let your storage needs dictate the uses. 

This sisal basket has two weak areas in the weave. One on each side of the basket near the top. the lid completely covers these flaws but they allow us to sell it to you at a discounted price.
