This hand woven open coil style grass basket is made by Akikap of the Kapedo Women's Groups of Kenya. They use natural grasses as well as dyed grasses to make their beautiful designs.
This basket is a symbol of products handcrafted by women in Kapedo to give hope for a better future by generating income for food, clothing, school fees and other necessities.
