Item: Love

The Kanga is the "everything" cloth of Africa. They are used as skirts, dresses, head wraps, baby carriers, ground cloths, wall decorations, table cloths, and when worn out, cleaning cloths. Only your imagination limits the use of these simple, African design lengths of fabric. Made of cotton, in a series of panels, each panel is approximately, 42" x 60". Each panel carries a message in a swahili proverb. The panels are cut leaving two selvege edges and two rough edges. Most often they are sold as single panels.
Made in Tanzania, this kanga's swahili proverb, "Palipo na upendo Mungu yupo" is roughly translated, "Where there is love there is God."
The kanga is available in two sizes: the single kanga is one panel, the draping kanga is two identical uncut panels.
