This oil by  Patrick Tueii is full of detail depicting a typical African scene.  Even today the Samburu, Maasai, Pokot and other tribes move their cattle over the vast grasslands seeking grazing and water.  The mountain in the background is Mt. Long-o-Not.  A sleeping but still active volcano that overlooks Lake Naivaisha.

This is an original with no prints. The canvas measures 9 3/4" X 13 1/4". 

Patrick is an Okiek. This tribe lives in the last remains of the Mau Forest.  The forest is diminishing and their way of life is in jeopardy. 

Patrick has shown his work in Nairobi at the National Museum of History and other galleries in Kenya.
