Lawrence Wanga Oniemo sits in a small workshop hand sketching African scenes onto muslin.  After sketching several, he begins the waxing and dying process.  Each color is carefully brushed on and dried before waxing and applying the next.

This small batik is approximately 12" X 12" with rough edges all around.  It is perfect for that small wall space either hung as is, mounted on foam core, or framed.  It can also be placed on a window for privacy and color.  Another popular use for these small pieces is as the central focus for a quilting project.
