Expertly woven by the Baobab Weavers of Tsheikuru, Kenya, this bag measures approximately 20" X 52". There is 3/4 " of black leather trim stitched into the bag around the top. The two leather handles are of 1" brown leather and measure a 17" drop.
The weavers sustainably harvest the bark of the Baobab tree and painstakingly convert it into fiber cordage. The cordage is then dyed with natural dyes such as charcoal and woven into bags and baskets. The baskets are then sold to our carrier and carried to Nairobi where they are fashioned into trimmed bags and baskets. Read about the Baobab Weavers on our artists pages.

We have a few of these bags. Each one is the same in style but unique in pattern. The bag you purchase may be slightly different in baobab pattern from the product image. If there are significant differences in the patterns, we will post the image on the site as a different product.
