The designs are completely unique to the weaver.  Each is a unique item.

The Shipibo traditionally bound babies heads so they would have a coveted flatter forehead.  This headwear was designed to accent the beauty of the formed head. 

They are still worn ceremonially.

The band is 21" in circumference and 4 1/2" wide. It is decorated with sequins and seed beads.  The beads rattle keeping rythym with the dance. The "tail" is 15" long and 2" wide ending in seed beads.
