This is not just another bag. It is a piece of art. 

First the cotton is picked, cleaned and spun.  Then a small hand loom is made and the fabric spun on a loom.  A unique Shipibo design is hand embroidered into the fabric. 

Shipibo design is a mixture of geometric patterns. Although the meaning of the designs has been lost, anthropologists theorize that the designs could be a form of language, or that they represent the twisting rivers and canals. 

The embroidered design is painstakingly stitched without any guidelines.  The bag is then hand sewn together. 

This bag has a tough commercial purchaed strap hand stitched to the bag. 

For a final touch and a bit of flair, a beaded fringe is added. 

This open top bag is 100% unique and measures 7" X 9" with a 42" strap.

Use is every day, or hang it for wall art.
