These earrings were handmade by Lucia Cayruna from Peru.  She is a member of the Naya Waserona Women’s group.

Ipil Ipil seeds and small choloke seeds are woven into these dangle earrings. Small glass beads are used for accent.   They resemble the fish, which is a large part of Shipibo life in Peru. The earrings measure approximately 3 inches from the tip of the ear hook to the fish tail.  

The women conduct a sustainable harvest of seeds and participate in tree planting projects with the organization SEED TREE.

 The sale of these earrings supports the projects of Expanding Opportunities which includes a Children's Home in Kenya, Africa.  Expanding Opportunities is a 501c3 organization in the USA and is a member of COOP AMERICA.
