Appoline Assignon
Appoline Assignon is a seamstress and pastor's wife living in Kara-Kozah, Togo, West Africa. Although her husband is Togolese, Appoline was born in neighboring Benin. She was born into a family of idol worshippers and had nine sisters and three brothers. Appoline attended school up to the 6th grade. Further schooling was not possible, as the family was very poor. She was apprenticed as a seamstress and soon mastered her trade.

She turned from idol worshipping in 1976 when she heard about the love of God and His free gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life given through Jesus Christ. Appoline and her husband Paul spent over four years as the Awana missionaries to Côte d'Ivoire. However, in 1995, they left Awana and returned to Togo. She currently assists her husband in his ministry as a pastor and church planter in the north country of Togo. She directs the children's church at the Tomdè Bible Baptist Church (her husband's pastorate), is also on the leadership team of the ladies Bible study group, sings in the choir, is active in market evangelism, and does a million other things required of a pastor's wife, mom, and godly woman. She and Paul have two boys, Holali (18) and Jean-Marc (6). However, her personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the central point around which all other facets of her life revolve.
